Platinum Chemicals are a family-owned building chemicals retailer operating from East Kilbride. With over 40 years experience, Platinum Chemicals Ltd have become one of the fastest growing businesses in the industry.

Platinum specialise in supplying Remedial Building Chemicals, providing the best quality products and solutions to treat many problems in buildings including rising damp, black mould, woodworm, dry rot and much more. The business needed a fresh new website and contacted our Glasgow agency.

Having approximately 600 products and a complex categorisation structure, Platinum Building Chemicals required a website that would allow efficient and simple complimentary product linkage with a smooth customer journey.

If a customer buys damp proofing cream, they could need safety & PPE equipment. This element of responsive web development required intuitive systems to create an effective user experience in e-commerce web development.

Brand Refresh

We designed the website to bring the exceptional knowledge and service of the team at Platinum Building Chemicals to a broader audience on a digital platform. This provided an opportunity for enhancement of the existing brand to modernise the look, style, and feel as both brand and strategy evolved.

Beginning with our graphic design team, a review of the existing brand and consumer research within the industry helped us create a plan. Working up a set of visual concepts, our team combined resonant iconography with clean typography to develop the original idea. Refreshing the brand colour palette helped strengthen brand identity, which fed seamlessly into establishing a smart and sleek web design where clarity of information is critical.
